First public facility with a stationary fire suppression system
With the installation of a stationary fire suppression system at Stadtreinigung Dresden, a fixed firefighting solution by EmiControls has been implemented in a public facility for the very first time. The system ensures reliable protection of operational areas where large amounts of combustible materials – such as waste – are stored and processed daily.
At the core of the system is a powerful PumpContainer, which supplies water to two remote-controlled FireDos monitors. These enable both large-area and pinpoint firefighting. The monitors can be flexibly aligned with different risk zones and, in an emergency, deliver large volumes of water in a very short time – allowing for quick and effective fire containment.
Early fire detection is handled by the highly sensitive ORGLMEISTER infrared detection system, which continuously monitors ambient temperatures and potential smoke development. When a fire event is detected, the extinguishing system is triggered fully automatically – without delay and without manual intervention. This ensures a rapid, targeted, and autonomous response, improving safety and minimizing property damage and operational downtime.
With the implementation of this forward-looking solution, Stadtreinigung Dresden sets a strong example for safety and sustainability. At the same time, the project shows how EmiControls’ stationary systems can be effectively and economically integrated into municipal and public infrastructure.
