Successful Tests of Our Firefighting Technologies in France
In July 2025, we successfully demonstrated the performance of our firefighting technologies at the CNPP test center in Saint-Marcel, France. In real fire scenarios with large fire loads, our turbines were intensively tested – both in terms of their extinguishing power with water mist and their ability to protect people and infrastructure from extreme heat.
At the heart of the tests was the FT40 firefighting turbine from EmiControls, which was directed at a massive fire source from different distances. It proved that fires can be efficiently and rapidly controlled and ultimately extinguished – documented down to the very last visible flame. In addition, an FT60h turbine mounted on a Magirus AirCore TAF35-C firefighting robot was used, generating a stable lateral water mist curtain. This effectively demonstrated its protective function by reliably shielding against extreme heat.
The measurements included, among other things, the time required to control the fire, the duration until complete extinguishment, and range tests. The results confirm the high efficiency of our systems and emphasize their importance for stationary fire protection.
The trials were reviewed and officially approved by CNPP – an important step that once again shows how our technologies can make a decisive contribution to greater safety in the event of fire.
