How does water behave under different conditions—and how can its distribution be controlled precisely? These were the key questions behind our comprehensive water test with the FT40 firefighting turbine. The goal was to analyze in detail how different turbine configurations influence water distribution and droplet behavior, and to evaluate the system under realistic requirements.

To achieve this, we tested various settings, nozzle types, and spray patterns, and accurately measured the water output at different distances. Using ground-placed collection containers, we were able to systematically measure and compare water distribution. This provided a clear picture of how the FT40 performs under changing conditions—and which configurations are best suited for specific application scenarios.

The insights gained are an important foundation for planning stationary fire protection projects. Reliable, uniform, and demand-oriented water distribution is essential to design protection concepts effectively and ensure the highest level of safety.
