Aquí estamos: first dust suppression plant in Cuba

In September 2021 our partner Fungibles Condal installed a dust control plant in Cuba. In this article we shortly present this special project to you.

The international engineering consultancy Dehispa required for a cement plant near La Havana (Cuba) a reliable and, above all, individual solution for the suppression of dust. 

Requirements for the system: efficient dust suppression and in addtition the temperature of the material in the storage areas needed to be reduced. There are a total of nine storage boxes in the plant, each measuring 15 x 10 meters with a height of around 13 meters.

After an initial analysis together with Fungibles Condal, the right solution was quickly found: each storage areas will receive its own high-pressure fogging system including submersible pump. The storage areas can thus be fogged independently of each other, and this in a very resource-saving manner. 

Thanks to their modular design, EmiControls' high-pressure fogging systems can be flexibly adapted to the customer's needs (degree of emission, place of use, quantity and properties of the dust). The fogging technology, which has been tried and tested in practice for many years, ensures extremely efficient dust suppression, and at the same time requires only a very small amount of water to do so.

The plant was commissioned on September 24, 2021. Initial feedback from management and employees has been very positive.
