In live testing: Our fire suppression system at ZUMA Wien GmbH

On September 11, 2025, EmiControls had the opportunity to present its innovative fire protection solution in real-life operation at ZUMA Wien GmbH. During the event, we introduced guests to the newly installed automatic extinguishing system—from the functionality of the IR detection technology from ORGLMEISTER Infrarot-Systeme GmbH to the integration of powerful water mist turbines. This clearly demonstrated how modern technology reliably detects fires and immediately initiates effective countermeasures.

Technical presentations to kick things off

The supporting program for the live demonstration also included short technical presentations in advance:

• Andreas Nowak, Operations Manager at ZUMA Wien GmbH, presented the Austrian recycling company and its Vienna facility.
• ZEWITECH, our installation partner, explained the implementation of the construction project – from planning to realization of the infrastructure.
• A representative from the bSafe testing center provided valuable insights into the construction and legal framework conditions.
• Bernd Riedmann presented EmiControls' innovative extinguishing turbine technology before moving on to the tour and subsequent demonstration.

The highlight: the wet test

During the live demonstration on site, our four FT10e firefighting turbines impressively demonstrated their strength: within seconds, a finely atomized water pattern was created, effectively suppressing potential sources of fire with water mist. Even though the system was activated manually during the event, it was clear to everyone present that in real operation, our system reacts fully automatically and quickly.

The combination of intelligent early detection and efficient extinguishing technology sets new standards—especially for recycling plants and other sensitive infrastructures.
