Industrial Fire Protection: Modern Solution in Practical Use

On May 20, 2026, together with GROMA 247, we had the pleasure of welcoming invited customers and industry representatives to an exclusive technical and live demonstration event at Smurfit Westrock Nettingsdorf AG & Co KG near Ansfelden, Austria. The event focused on innovative solutions for modern industrial fire protection – from intelligent early fire detection to effective firefighting with EmiControls’ water mist technology.

Following the welcome by the hosts, participants gained valuable insights into current requirements and developments in preventive fire protection. Expert presentations on infrastructure, fire detection systems, and modern water mist solutions demonstrated in a practical way how companies can sustainably and future-proof improve their safety standards.

Live Demonstration of the FT40 Water Mist Turbine

Particular attention was drawn to the live demonstration of our FT40 water mist turbine. Under real conditions and with a specially prepared test fire on site, guests experienced the performance of the technology firsthand. The demonstration clearly showed how efficiently and precisely water mist can be used to combat fire sources in industrial environments.

In addition to the technical program, the event also provided ample opportunity for personal exchange, discussions, and networking. Together with customers and partners, concrete application examples were discussed and valuable practical experiences were shared.
